Mr. Ernie W. - Georgia - Chronic Neck Pain, Post-Laminectomy Neck Pain Syndrome. - "I found Dr. Gatell at his website and explained to him about my surgeries. I had 2 neck surgeries back to back which consisted of replacing 4 disk C-3,4,5 and 7. I had a bone Graft taken from my left hip to replace these with. After the surgeries, I had pain the Doctors were unable to take care of. They told me I would just have to learn to live with the Pain. This is when I started doing research on the web for a Doctor that could help me with my problem. I just did not see how I could live and work a normal life after I had already missed 3 and 1/2 months of work. I was use to earning $60,000 + a year in my field of employment, which is a lot in my area. Now I was having to live on minimum Pay covered by a small health plan. One night, around 11:00PM, I got a call from Dr. Gatell, whom I had never spoken with before and he told me he was only concerned with helping people like myself so they could live a normal life. I scheduled an appointment with him for the following week and I noticed he was the most down to earth person I had ever met. He is not like Doctors I had ever met before. The Doctors I had met before him put themselves on such a high pedestals that I always felt beneath them. After 4 months now, I am working fulltime and taking care of my family like I had always done in the past. I am getting better and better, but still have a ways to go but I had forgotten what it was to live a normal life. I am able to function enough to take care of a new Grand baby and my 2 children and if it wasn't for that call from someone I had never met before in my life just before Midnight about 4 months ago, I probably still would not be working. He will prescribe for you whatever it takes to get you back to normal. Dr. Gatell told me that he had rather see me not taking strong medication because it was like a band-aide just covering up the problem, but sometimes a "band-aide" can keep you from having Heart damage and having a stroke which can cause permanent damage or take your life. He has been good to me and that is my testimony about this caring Doctor. I hope you make an appointment with him and see what he can do for you.
