Mrs. Emily U. - Georgia - This is a very lovely lady who initially presented with severe intractable daily migraines with severe vomiting due to undiagnosed Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Generalized Pain Syndrome with secondary Anxiety with Depression. After carefully treating her over the last 5 months with Dr. St. Amand's Guaifenesin Protocol and my medical pain management protocols, she has resumed a more normal life again.
As a medical pain doctor, saving this lady's life makes up for all the stress of occasionally having to weed-out criminal-drug addicts trying to act like a patients with chronic pain.
Here is the extraordinary story sent via Email on Friday, May 17, 2002:
"Dear Dr. Gatell,
I just want to thank you for what you have done for me over the past five months.
Before I started with you, I had been sick for ten years with severe vomiting spells, dehydration, intense migraine headaches and pain all over. I had been to doctor after doctor, through the psychiatric and psychological evaluations, all with no results.
For the last two years, I had been in and out of the hospital every few weeks with the severe vomiting, dehydration and migraine headaches.
I was on injections of Demerol every two hours for recurrent headaches with no results. I would go into the hospital for four or five days to receive intravenous fluids and then be right back in a couple of weeks.
My doctor was at her rope's end. Then, God sent us to you. My husband found you and your angels on the computer and liked what he saw.
I have been seeing you since January 2002 and have not had a single episode of the severe vomiting. My migraines are MUCH less intense and much less frequent. I still have some bad days, but they are nothing like they use to be and much less each month.
You are very thorough and unlike most doctors, you are also compassionate to my problems.
Thank you so much for what you have accomplished with me so far.
You may use this note however you wish.
Emily U."
